Every Sunday, working with the redoubtable Tuggy Meyer of Huntsworth Wines opposite the pub, we open a big bottle or two of superior wine and sell it by the glass and carafe.

This Sunday's offering is the delightful Chateau Grand-Corbin-Despagne 2015 St-Emilion GrandCru Classe.

A high-class claret from owner François Despagne, who believes passionately that wine is made in the vineyard, not the winery. Fresh, vibrant aromas of red berries and black pepper, with silky tannins and a plush texture.
